तेहि छन राम मध्य धनु तोरा। भरे भुवन धुनि घोर कठोरा॥

In the blink of an eye, Ram lifted the bow with His left hand. As He pulled the string to the ear, the massive bow snapped into two with a sound so loud that it shook the three worlds. The Devas showered flowers, and Sita walked forward to place the Varmala (victory garland) around Ram's neck.

The pride of the kings was shattered, and Janaka's joy knew no bounds. This breaking of the bow symbolized the end of the old order and the beginning of a new era where Dharma would prevail over brute force.
